Myelostem 50 Injection is an alkylating medicine, also known as a chemotherapeutic agent, primarily used to treat various cancer conditions such as multiple myeloma (a type of cancer that develops from cells in the bone marrow called plasma cells), advanced cancer of the ovaries, childhood neuroblastoma (cancer of the nervous system), malignant melanoma (skin cancer) and soft tissue sarcoma. Melphalan, present in Myelostem 50 Injection, works by reducing the number of abnormal cells produced by your body. As a result, it effectively treats cancer.

What if I have taken an overdose of Myelostem 50 Injection
Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Myelostem 50 Injection may include diarrhoea (that is severe or doesn't stop), dizziness, muscle weakness, mental/mood changes (such as confusion), slow/irregular heartbeat, and decreased urination. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
Drug Warnings
Before taking Myelostem 50 Injection inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while on treatment with Myelostem 50 Injection, inform your doctor. Before taking Myelostem 50 Injection, inform your doctor about your medical history and ongoing therapies to rule out potential adverse effects or interactions. Always take Myelostem 50 Injection as prescribed by your doctor. It's crucial to take your medication as directed. The dosage of this medicine is based on your condition. Your doctor may adjust your dose during therapy based on the results of the treatment. If you have kidney issues, your doctor will usually give you a lower dose than other adults. Your doctor will determine if you should undergo preventive medication for blood clots in the veins. This applies during the first 5 months of treatment or if you have an elevated risk of developing a blood clot in your veins. The amount of blood cells in your bone marrow may drastically drop if you take Myelostem 50 Injection. In addition to raising your chance of getting a serious infection or bleeding, this could result in specific symptoms. Please contact your doctor right away if you encounter any of the following symptoms: abnormal bleeding or bruises; bloody or black, tarry stools; bloody vomit; or vomiting blood or brown material that resembles coffee grounds; fever, sore throat, persistent cough and congestion, or other symptoms of infection. Remember to keep all of your doctor's and the lab's appointments. Before and throughout your treatment, your doctor will order routine laboratory testing to determine whether this medication is having an impact on your blood cells.
